Luísa Trindade holds a PhD in Art History and is an Associate Professor with agregação (habilitation) at the University of Coimbra, where she has been teaching since 1996. She has served as Director of the undergraduate programme in Art History, of the Master’s programme in Art and Heritage, and as Head of the Department of History, European Studies, Archaeology and the Arts. She currently presides over the Assembly of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra and serves as Curator of the University’s Heritage. She is also a collaborating researcher at the Institute of Medieval Studies of the NOVA University Lisbon (FCSH). With dozens of articles and conference papers to her name, she has participated in and coordinated numerous national and international projects in the fields of teaching, research, and the dissemination of knowledge in History, Art History, and Heritage.

Main interests and research topics: Urban History; the Medieval City; Art History; Medieval Art; Late Medieval Architecture; Heritage and Mediation.
