Luísa Trindade holds a PhD in Art History and is a tenured associate professor at the University of Coimbra, where she has been teaching since 1996. She coordinated the undergraduate degree in Art History and the Master’s degree in Art and Heritage. She has served as the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra’s Council president. Currently, she supervises the Department of History, European Studies, Archaeology and Arts in the Faculty. She is a member of the Centre for Social Studies of the University of Coimbra and collaborates with the Institute for Medieval Studies at NOVA-FCSH. Having written numerous articles and papers, she has worked as both team member and coordinator in several national and international projects focused on teaching, researching and sharing knowledge on History, Art History and History of Heritage.

Main interests and research topics: History of Urban Planning; the Medieval Town; Art History; Medieval Art; Architecture of the Late Middle Ages; Heritage; science communication to the community.
