Rafaela Zanotto Casagrande holds an undergraduate degree in History from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra and is currently reading for a Master’s degree in Latin American History from UNISINOS University, Brazil. She was awarded a science fellowship by the Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development(CNPq).

Main interests and research topics: History of Religion; Parish Clergy; Portuguese America; Rio Grande de São Pedro; Eighteenth Century; Scale; Prosopography; Palaeography.
