Guilherme Mourão Marôco has a degree in History and a Master’s in Military History from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra. He is currently a PhD candidate in Medieval History at the same institution. He is a member of the CHSC and his research has focused on the History of al-Andalus. In 2016 he was awarded the Prize of Academic Merit of the Portuguese Commission of Military History; Batalha de Aljubarrota Foundation, and in 2018 he received an Honourable Mention in the 2nd edition of the “Young Researchers Prize”, awarded by the Iberian Association of Military History; Banco Santander Totta.
