Armando Norte holds a degree and a PhD in History from the Faculty of Arts, University of Lisbon. He is currently an integrated researcher at the History Centre of the University of Lisbon and a collaborating researcher at the Centre for History of Society and Culture. Since 2018, he has been teaching and tutoring scientific theses at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon.
He regularly participates in research projects and attends specialized events, in Portugal and abroad. He has been intensifying his written production, with emphasis on the books: Os intelectuais em Portugal na Idade Média, awarded the CTT – D. Manuel I prize by the Portuguese Academy of History, and the biography João XXI: o papa português, already translated into Italian. His research interests are linked to cultural history, the history of books and the history of universities in a medieval context.
