I Encontro de Jovens Investigadores do CHSC: História e Inteligência Artificial
The I Encontro de Jovens Investigadores do CHSC, entitled História e Inteligência Artificial, will be held on June 5th, 2026, at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra (FLUC), in Portugal.
We invite students of all academic degrees, as well as young doctoral graduates and researchers, to submit proposals that address the influence of artificial intelligence on the craft of the historian, exploring, for example, digital archives and libraries, current challenges in the writing of History, and new historiographical perspectives. Priority will be given to submissions that are sensitive to the ways in which AI has transformed the historian’s craft, although other proposals will not be excluded.
We will accept proposals in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, and presentations must be delivered exclusively in person.
