Gabriel Paquette

Gabriel Paquette (Ph.D., Cambridge) is Professor of History at the University of Oregon, where he also serves as Vice Provost for Academic Affairs. Previously, he was Professor of History at Johns Hopkins University for almost a decade. He is the author and editor of several books, including Imperial Portugal in the Age of Atlantic Revolutions (2013) and The European Seaborne Empires (2019). He has been a Visiting Professor at King’s College London and has held fellowships from the Portuguese Fulbright Commission and the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study.
